Chattanooga is located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley between Oak Ridge National Lab, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and Arnold Engineering Development Center/UT Space Institute (AEDC). These world-renowned research labs are approximately located 100 miles from Chattanooga and possess specialties in materials, transportation technologies, propulsion, nano sciences, micro gravity, aero sciences To stimulate regional benefit from these national assets, Congressman Zack Wamp established the Tennessee Valley Corridor, an organization dedicated to promoting relationships between these Centers and the region.
